  • Remote Work Philippines: New Digital Nomad Visa Opens Doors for Global Remote Workers

The Philippines is gearing up to welcome digital nomads with open arms. Through Executive Order No. 86 , issued on April 28, 2025, President Bongbong Marcos has launched a Digital Nomad Visa —a special non-immigrant permit allowing foreign remote workers to live and work in the Philippines for up to one year , with the option to renew for an additional year. What You Need to Know _To qualify, applicants must: Be at least 18 years old Provide proof of remote employment for clients or companies outside the Philippines Demonstrate sufficient income —required to support themselves while residing in the country. Carry valid health insurance  that covers the duration of their stay Have no criminal record  in their home country Hold citizenship in a country that reciprocates digital nomad visa rights for Filipinos and has a Philippine Foreign Service Post. Applicants are expressly prohibited from taking up local employment, ensuring this visa caters solely to foreign remote workers. How Long and What It Costs: "The visa allows a 12-month stay , renewable for another year—bringing the maximum duration to two years in total". Costs for the Digital Nomad Visa have not yet been officially announced. However, analysts estimate that the fee will align with student visa rates in the Philippines (around US$250 ) or range between US$200 to US$2,000 , based on similar visa types. Why It Matters? With the Philippines ranking among the fastest-growing remote-work destinations, this visa is poised to boost tourism, stimulate the economy, and promote cultural exchange. It enables remote professionals to enjoy the archipelago’s scenery, affordable living, and vibrant culture while legally contributing to local communities.

  • LinkedIn Predicts: How AI Will Transform Careers by 2030

Artificial Intelligence isn’t just reshaping industries—it’s rewriting job descriptions. According to LinkedIn’s latest In-Demand Jobs Report, by 2030, a staggering 70% of job skills will have shifted, largely driven by AI integration across sectors. This evolution signals a seismic change in how professionals will need to prepare for the future of work. Gone are the days when a degree and a decade of experience guaranteed job security. The new era demands agility. Professionals are expected to double their skill sets over their careers, constantly adapting to new tools, technologies, and expectations. But it’s not just about tech-savviness. Surprisingly, the report also highlights a growing emphasis on interpersonal strengths—skills like emotional intelligence, communication, leadership, and collaboration are becoming increasingly valuable. Employers are no longer just looking for someone who knows how to code or analyze data—they want someone who can work across teams, think critically, and lead with empathy in digital-first environments. Upskilling and reskilling will be non-negotiable. Online learning platforms, micro-credentials, and real-world project experience will play a key role in helping professionals remain relevant. In short, the most successful workers of the next decade will be those who are both tech-proficient and human-centered. If you’re in the workforce today, now is the time to audit your current skill set and invest in what’s next. The future isn’t waiting—and neither should you. _Daily Growth Insights
